Another very interesting & active year. This year would see the first incarnation of my guise "The World Famous Doppelganger"
as well as the "rise" of another alter-ego, "DJ GUT." Under my project (WFD) I would be exploring the world of collage and
the main concept being, taking your 'favorite' moments in songs and making a listening marathon out of them. This idea was a
really good one at the time but was overshadowed by my depression and soon abandoned for quite some time.

I was approached by a producer while doing a live show at a cafe in the spring who was interested in utilizing my music for a video game. This was a dream-come-true for me & I was thrilled to write stuff for it. This project became known as "Dreamscape." A lot of demos were made in the Spring but the bulk of the work for this project came towards the end of
year. During this time also, I was so fired up for making the game that I even had time to start a whole other project which my producer was working on, this time for a film called "Carnivorous." Sadly, both of these projects were ultimately abandoned but the music still remains.

Another project that was started in 2006 was between me and a producer & friend by the name of Brazil 5000 which we called "Bad Dudes" after the
popular NES game. This was to be a "Beats&Grooves" -oriented project and was going to consist mostly of DJ sets and mixtape-style mixes. I didn't invest as much time in this project as I wanted but Brazil 5000 and I would be collaborators on various things for the next few years.

Finally, DJ GuT was an attempt to distance myself from my "WFD" project, in which I was growing weary of by the Fall of this year. DJ GuT turned out to be just another name slapped on top of my "collage" idea except just a little more 'focused.' I was able to get three shows set up at a local cafe', all with their own themes. The first one was about steamy, tropical beaches in which i titled "Aloha!" The 2nd was titled "incredibly strange music," and was themed around very obscure and cartoony music. The final was a Halloween show which was Italian-horror-based.

I did one last show as DJ GuT in early 2007 titled "sex in space" that was well-received. I would continue with this nickname through to 2008, at which point, I kind of gave up on giving myself a nickname.

All in all I am very satisfied and confident about all of the experimental music that came out of this year.

***EXTRA NOTE***

Another addition to my "family" of instruments was made this year which was the Dave Smith Evolver... a half-analog-half-digital console that had added some amazing new dynamics to a lot of my music. This piece has actually seldom been used throughout most of my music history because it is a lot of work to program it. But, when it has been used, it has been very
rewarding : )
